Redefining the Movement of Energy

Our transmission systems are based on end-fire array specialized antenna designs that launch electromagnetic energy along the surface of a dielectric or engineered substrate, rather than radiating it broadly into free space. This provides highly optimized transmissions that can deliver energy at long distances with a high degree of efficiency.

The arrays consists of multiple antenna elements aligned in a linear or quasi-linear formation, with spacing and phasing optimized to create constructive interference in the end-fire direction — typically parallel to the surface. The energy is coupled into a bound surface wave mode, at various frequencies and power levels, depending on the required application.
Key Characteristics:
Directional Emission: The array focuses energy tightly in the direction of propagation along the surface, minimizing free-space radiation.
Surface Wave Coupling: The array also transfers power into guided waves that remain attached to or near the surface, enabling low-loss, confined wireless energy delivery.
Phased Array Behavior: By adjusting the phase and amplitude of each element, the beam can be steered or shaped, increasing control over long-range energy distribution.
Together with our proprietary SCADA and telemetry control systems and phasing techniques, Quantum Wave is developing a highly directive launcher of surface-confined wireless energy, merging the principles of antenna array theory with surface wave physics to enable efficient, spatially controlled power delivery.
Quantum Wave technology is protected by more than 146 US and international patents. Some of these technologies include Power Transmission and Distribution, Directional Transmission, RF Communications, Position/Navigation/Timing, Remote Sensing, Disaster Relief, Anti-Theft, RFID, Medical, Ring Power Multiplier, Data over RF, and many others.
